Columbia College prepares students for university. The science instructors are very experienced, and every teacher has a unique way of teaching which challenges and inspires me to do better. I am glad I chose this college because of the friends I have made. I feel like I am at home away from home.

I am so grateful and so honored to have Columbia College be the beginning of my Canadian dream. It felt like home, and you made it possible by being there whenever I needed help adjusting to the environment, language, and culture.

My experience at Columbia College has been incredibly rewarding. Not only has my English improved significantly, but the teachers have been consistently friendly and supportive throughout my studies. The academic advisors played a key role in my success!

What I really like about high school at Columbia College is that I don’t have to spend eight to nine months to finish a course. I only need to spend four months. Class sizes are small and teachers are helpful in answering questions. I’ve started my own club here and grown my leadership skills.

Being an international student is not easy, but there are always people to help you. I loved Geography 12 because my instructor was great at teaching and encouraged me to do well. Meeting other international students at Columbia College Secondary was a very memorable experience.

Columbia college is a very resourceful starting point especially for international students like me. They provide very useful resources that are easily accessible for all students. The college also introduced me to lots of good friends that I treasure!

I really enjoy being a student at Columbia College High School. Studying here has helped me to expand my knowledge in many different areas, as well as providing me with the opportunity to meet many admirable students and make close friendships.

I love the diversity at CC High School because it allows me to make friends and learn about other cultures. I joined many clubs, such as basketball and badminton.I also started a music band at the school. The graduation cruise was an amazing experience for me. 

I received a very warm welcome on my first day. Joining the Student Council helped me become more outspoken and confident in sharing my ideas. Since I started studying at the college, I’ve noticed that I’ve become more mature than before.

I have so many wonderful memories at Columbia College so far, and one of the best is the day we went to Playland as a school. It may also be one of the best days of my life. 

Being sick or injured in a new country can be scary or confusing. I am able to support students to get the help they need from the B.C. healthcare system. Helping to reduce anxiety around seeing a Doctor or Nurse and ensuring student safety has been a very rewarding experience.  

With a student body made up of students from over 30 different countries, we pride ourselves on celebrating diversity, encouraging curiosity, and empowering students to achieve their individual goals!

The school fosters an inclusive community where every student is welcomed, valued, and treated with fairness and respect. Our students come from diverse cultural backgrounds, and it’s a privilege to learn from and support them.

I love the students. Columbia College High School has a diverse population and seeing them make connections with peers from different cultures is amazing to see. It is also a privilege to watch them develop and grow and make an impact on their lives, no matter how small. 

We are small but mighty. Our trimester system keeps us academically focused, but our intimate class sizes as well as our community of teachers, counsellors, student life coordinators, nurses, and administrative staff also lend to a friendly, energetic and supportive learning space. 

Columbia College is a unique institution, and it is the best place I have ever taught. Education here is built on collaboration, with many of our faculty and staff bringing international experience that helps ensure students feel welcomed and supported in their new environment.
